Course Hero is looking for a part-time (Contract) Student Voices Editor to join the Content Marketing team and work closely with the Student Community team. You'll provide editorial guidance and support to 50+ student writers and editors at various college campuses across the US, producing dozens of high-quality blog posts every month. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, energetic, and collaborative self-starter who is passionate about higher education. Note: This position is 20-30 hours per week. You will need to be in Redwood City at least two days per week.

Here are some ways you'll make an impact:
  • You will manage editorial workflow for Student Voices, ensuring deadlines are met and all guidelines are followed.
  • You will work with student editors to select monthly story lineups.
  • You will mentor and coach student editors and writers to produce original, well-researched, high-caliber web content about the college experience.
  • You will oversee a Student Voices email newsletter, including planning, story selection, production, and distribution.
  • You will collaborate closely with other Course Hero teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • You will ensure that content supports business, marketing, and branding objectives.
Are you our star Student Voices Editor?
  • You have at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or other communications-related field.
  • You have five years of experience in writing and editing customer-facing content in the digital space.
  • You have five years of experience planning content strategies and overseeing all aspects of editorial development and production for customer-facing content in the digital space.
  • You have experience collaborating with social media and you understand how to create content that resonates in social channels.
  • You have experience shaping and evolving and editorial strategy in response to key metrics.
  • You have strong communication skills, especially when it comes to writing persuasive emails, and educating peers, and coaching editors and writers.
  • You have a track record of offer clear guidance, delivering constructive criticism, and motivating writers and editors to achieve excellence.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and logical story construction.
  • You have strong time management and organizational skills and an ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • You have a desire to be in a collaborative environment and are equally comfortable leading a strategy or taking directions; you welcome ongoing feedback.
  • Bonus: You have photography and/or video production experience.
