The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Leads their team, cross-functional stakeholders, and external suppliers in the preparation and execution of industry tradeshows, events, and exhibitions.
  • Balances the work of team members to ensure project quality standards and schedules are met.
  • Focuses on the customer to conceive and execute events that are impactful, market appropriate, and compelling.
  • Presents work to leadership and stakeholders, clearly communicating strategies and concepts to gain support.
  • Manages annual departmental budgets and outside labor expenses and provides regular updates to leadership.
  • Builds strong partnerships with product management, marketing communications, sales, and regional business units to foster collaboration.
  • Builds talented, collaborative, and creative teams that consistently deliver outstanding service for commercial stakeholders.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and professional development for the Marketing Support & Events team sets SMART Goals and conducts annual reviews for all direct reports.
  • Stays current on emerging trends in tradeshows, experiential marketing, and events in order to introduce these ideas on projects when appropriate.
 
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related field required.
  • Master's in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related field a plus.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of tradeshow or similar relevant experience required.
  • Certified Trade Show Marketer or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) preferred.
  • B2B marketing experience a plus.
  • Able to travel for tradeshows and events including evenings and weekends.
  • Expertise in SolidEdge or similar CAD software for the layout of tradeshow booths a plus.
  • Experience in digital printing and print production a plus.
  • SharePoint or similar document management system experience a plus.
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and organize work and the work of others.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Examples of previous tradeshow or event work is required to be considered.
