The Statistician/Senior Business Analyst will be a part of the Analytics Decision Support (ADS) team and will have the opportunity to work with marketing leaders across our client's five Midwest food brands. Team members will have exposure to several types of food industries, retail, e-commerce, direct mail, direct to consumer and direct to business sales, marketing, sales and operations. Success in this role could also lead to growth opportunities within the ADS team and across our client's Enterprise.

The primary goals of the position are to drive and support revenue growth by:
  • Evaluating ongoing programs -- especially direct mail, email, and other online marketing - from an ROI perspective to align focus with highest return on marketing investment.
  • Using data analysis tools, statistical analysis, and business acumen to develop actionable business insight
  • Working in a matrix environment to deliver high impact reporting, testing, and analysis
  • Building analytical solutions for Sales, Marketing, and Operational business needs.
  • Helping to create a culture of rapid testing and measurement across marketing channels
  • Performing customer segmentation, lift in response, marketing promotion impact, catalog campaign performance and other analytics targeted at improving customer engagement and brand success
  • Building and deploying response models and conducting clustering, discriminant analysis and predictive modeling
  • Work with SAS EG, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Visual Analytics and SQL as appropriate
  • 2+ years of programming experience in Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG), SAS Macros, SQL, Base SAS, SAS EG, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Visual Analytics, R, STATA, Python, or equivalent computer programming experience. Certificate in Base SAS preferred.
  • Experience in MS Office applications and reporting tools. Strong Excel a must.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data, combining and reconciling data from different sources with proven ability to turn raw data into informative insight.
  • Good communications skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong skills in logic, problem-solving, and statistics / modeling
  • Ability to partner with business leaders and ensure measurable marketing success
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Business or related discipline.
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Experience in retail, online, and/or direct marketing a plus - but not required.
