My client in San Jose, CA is looking to bring on an superstar QA Test Manager to execute automated software testing. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of professional Automated QA testing experience, and strong communication skills.

Job Title: QA Test Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Contract to Hire – must be USC or GC

This role will require an experienced QA Engineer ready to play a key part in software development efforts, interfacing directly with the engineering and project management teams to ensure superb-quality deployments of software enhancements. As the key lead on software testing, you will learn our innovative software suite from the inside out and maintain a high standard of quality in diligently investigating and tracking bugs to closure.

As a QA Test Automation Manager, you will be contributing to software testing needs:
  • Designing testing strategies and write test cases for new products and new features.
  • Working with operations and engineering teams to convert achieved product roadmap milestones into solid regression testing plans, which includes managing version controlled regression testing templates according to our SOPs.
  • Developing and executing AUTOMATED test cases based on software requirements.
  • Finding, reporting, and tracking software bugs through to resolution.
  • Prioritizing and managing a large volume of testing projects simultaneously with different priorities.
  • Validating production features and functionality against requirement documents.
  • Actively communicating testing status including schedule, risks, issues, defects, and potential impacts.
  • Participating in further developing our testing process, including automated software and mobile testing, and strategy for ongoing and new projects.

Required Skills/Experience
  • 5+ years of professional QA testing experience.
  • Solid experience writing test cases for new products and features associated with automation testing.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a curious mind for investigating and breaking software.
  • Detail-orientation with the ability to understand how each aspect interacts with the big picture.
  • A solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and programming fundamentals. You do not need to be able to program our systems, but a working knowledge will help you excel in this role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Proven perseverance to carry a set of software deliverables from requirements to testing completion.
  • A single-minded focus on deadlines and deliverables.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Big 4 experience (Strongly preferred)
