The Mediator Technical Business Analyst, (BA), will be responsible for owning the overall design of the Evertz Mediator solution implementation (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role as a Technical Business Analyst will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. The Technical Business Analyst will also be responsible for writing a technical specification (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the customer and professional services team. These specifications will need to be precise and clear as the Technical Business Analyst will delegate some work to fellow team members such as developers, consultants, or product support / documentation. Ideally the Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and familiarity with proven cloud solutions that support vertical objectives.

REQUIREMENTS include but are not limited to:
  • Understand the business needs and associated requirements and make recommendations for ways that systems and applications can best fulfill those needs based on functional and technical capabilities and limitations
  • Leverage knowledge of systems and understanding of business needs to create functional designs and write user stories
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Business, Architecture, Development and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle
  • Schedule and lead both requirements and design sessions with stakeholders
  • Solicit client requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures
  • Perform detailed analysis resulting in documented, unambiguous system requirements
  • Work with the business to develop functional specifications using approved templates and guidelines
  • Develop and communicate use cases to demonstrate the business requirements to the development and QA teams such that requirements are clearly and thoroughly understood by all parties
  • Work with Mediator system teams and ESB development team to ensure that data mapping and metadata models/definition are aligned across all systems to meet Business needs
  • Using JIRA, develop test plans, schedules and data. Track results, document and resolve bugs
  • Lead business in User Acceptance Testing
  • Responsible for ensuring business systems are operating efficiently. This includes monitoring system activity, providing exception reporting, requesting user feedback and tracking of enhancements
  • Responsible for Service Now Tier 3 Requests and incidents for their applications. This includes follow through until enhancement or incident is tested and resolved
  • Participate with IT and business concerning vendor selection process
  • Work with the Project Manager to compile CAB documentation
  • Work with Application Developer, Infrastructure Team, Support Desk and Product Manager to develop Run Books using approved template
  • Collaborate with QA team to define test plans
  • Work closely with the QA team and release manager to ensure all identified scenarios are properly tested and defects are resolved and a quality end user product is delivered
  • Attend project meetings
  • As needed, conduct business training
  • Ensure all IT policies & procedures are followed

  • Able to understand business modeling concepts and business application development.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills with ability to analyze complex system requirements
  • Strong MS Suite skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Good understanding of SDLC - Agile, iterative etc. processes and change management principles
  • Proactive driver of results
  • Must understand all aspects of the business and the systems involved, with a good technical understanding
  • 10 years experience in business and technical analysis roles
  • Prior experience with MAM (Media Asset Management System) / DAM (Digital Asset Management System) implementations and related workflow design.
  • Knowledge of XML, JSON AND HTML 5 programming languages
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and design.
  • Experience and understanding of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and API implementations a plus
