Job Description Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
  • Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and controls systems for HVAC systems
  • Planning, prioritization and performance of preventative / predictive maintenance tasks to meet dailyobjectives in support of production and department goals
  • Working with vendors to identify and source parts needed for equipment maintenance, as directed by
    more senior level technicians and/or supervisor.
  • Working with vendors to coordinate on-site activities as may be required for 3rd party service efforts, as
    directed by more senior level technicians and/or supervisor.
  • Support and/or complete installation and removal of equipment
  • Clear and concise communication with co-workers, management, and production operations staff
    regarding activities and objectives.
Job Description
Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must have technical and organization skills as follows:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Use of a PC including MS-Office Suite
Effective working in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.
Ability to prioritize tasks and schedule tasks to meet organizational objectives
High level of self-motivation
Strong customer-centric attitude
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and other technical documents
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills using voltmeter for systems up to 240 VAC
Familiarity with basic mechanical machine elements (gears, motors, pumps, bearings, etc.)
Familiarity with industrial controls elements (PLC's, motor controllers, etc.)
Additionally, the following skills / knowledge will be beneficial:
Familiarity and/or experience with industrial control devices (PLC, motion controllers, temperature controllers,
VFD's, etc.)
Familiarity with industrial sensors (optic, laser, proximity, pressure, temperature, etc.)
Ability to wear / utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for specific support areas
including dust mask, respirator, safety glasses, face mask and other similar .
Ability to work in awkward and difficult positions, as needed.
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 year relevant field experience in previous Plant or Facilities
maintenance experience.
