My client is currently looking for a UNIX Systems Engineer with a strong UNIX Security skill set to join the UNIX team to help implement their next generation automation and UNIX Cloud capabilities.

  • UNIX Security- Patching, Security Updates, Manging SUDO files.
  • Write and Maintain Ansible playbooks
  • Scripting and "Infrastructure as Code " experience (Shell/SH/KSH/Python)
  • Build Linux Systems and implement then in a production environment
  • Provide Application Support: Creating and managing user accounts
  • Ability to research products and service offers in the OpenSource/Linux Community
  • Install, Configure and build Linux based products (Perl, Python, Shell, Java, C, C++)
  • Handle aspects of Systems Administration such as backup technologies, DNS, FIle Systems and Networking .
  • Patrcipates in Production support - Capacity Planning, Performance Monitoring and tuning & troubleshooting System/Network related issues
  • The ability to speak and write coherently in English
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to understand priorities and manage their time accordingly
  • At least 5 years of experience working with UNIX platforms

  • Four year college degree or equivalent. Computer Science curriculum a plus.
  • Proactive candidate with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of bug fixes and patching - how to apply updates quickly and in automated manner
  • AWS and Ansible experience
  • Experience with Cisco UCS a strong plus
  • Financial experience - brokerage preferred (small finance companies)
  • Team Player – Builds relationships and utilizes those relationships to drive successful outcomes for the organization
