 Enterprise Cloud Engineer 
The Enterprise Systems Cloud Engineer position will architect, design, plan, deploy, secure, and manage cloud based systems utilizing AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Google cloud platforms to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of cloud based systems.
  • Responsible for the design of cloud solutions including creation of detailed change requests resulting in implementation of solutions. Scope includes native or hybrid multi-tiered cloud applications on both public and private infrastructure.
  • Responsible for designing overall cloud ecosystem including management and monitoring solutions (ServiceNow, Splunk, Qualys) and disaster recovery
  • Prepares architectural diagrams for proposed solutions and leads the review with architecture, engineering, and operation teams.
  • Mentor less experienced technical staff.
  • Develop strategic migration plans to move on premise applications to cloud based solutions.
  • Works in conjunction with Information Security and Enterprise Architecture to design security across infrastructure and applications that reside in the cloud.
  • Utilize knowledge to analyse cost drivers in cloud system usage, delivery and operations and provides recommendations to optimize costs.
  • Develop productive client relationships at different management levels and identify and develop opportunities for new business.
  • Work with application and architecture teams to conduct proof of concept (POC) testing
  • Provides cloud governance controls, processes and technical advisory support to business units and projects by working cross-functionally to develop and implement strategies that balance cloud recommendations with business needs.
  • Communicates with business representatives to ensure understanding of the business requirements for future deployment of cloud solutions.
  • Ensures quality and effectiveness of major project plans within function through sound design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback strategies.
  • Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.
  • Responsible for understanding the services offered by cloud vendors (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DBaaS).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education in Technology related field
  • 8-12 years of experience
  • Technical background in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration.
  • Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others in areas of technology.
  • Configuration and deployment experience in three or more of the following:
    • AWS services such as ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC's and S3
    • Azure services such as Web/Mobile, Containers, Databases, Storage and Identity       Management
    • Oracle services such as  Bare Metal Compute, Fast Connect, Containers, Storage and Database
  • Advanced knowledge of cross-platform technologies/concepts such as: service discovery, networking, load balancing, containers, deployment and scaling, fault tolerance, throttling, failure domains, automation and orchestration, disaster recovery.
