My direct client in Columbia, MD is hiring a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate must have the ability to obtain a public trust clearance, 5 years of Devops/Jenkins experience, and experience with CIV pipeline.

My client is seeking a highly talented DevOps Engineer to implement innovative cost effective and technical solutions, design approaches that optimize DevOps across customer needs, business constraints, and technical realities, and support the development of technical road maps for future implementation.

Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Subject Matter Expert on everything related to DevOps implementation and operations
  • Strong practical Linux systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AOAs) regarding proposed technical solutions
  • Technical solution and Proof of Concept development
  • Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts
  • Support infrastructure and software tools needed to enable DevOps practices in a large-scale environment
  • Learn and analyze new technologies and industry best practices to identify suitability for adoption by the organization
  • Contribute to the design of software and infrastructure to ensure projects meet goals for security, scalability, maintainability, availability, and resiliency
  • Drive a quality and ownership mindset within the team

Position Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust government security clearance
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Expert knowledge of Linux, particularly Red Hat
  • Expert knowledge of CI/CD principles and technologies
  • Experience with container technology such as Docker
  • Experience utilizing automated testing tools such as Selenium and SauceLabs
  • Experience migrating and securing web-based applications in a cloud environment, particularly AWS
  • Fluent with agile software development best practices such as Sprints and Scrums
  • In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from business and technical viewpoints
  • Experience in applying DevOps concepts and practice in any Federal agency
  • Knowledge and experience in applying systems security standards into DevOps practice (e.g. NIST RMF, HIPAA compliance, FISMA, etc.)

Desired Skills
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins integration
