The Multimedia Engineer will provide onsite engineering support for videoconferencing (VTC) and A/V conferencing systems, meeting rooms, classrooms, collaboration systems and Command & Control Centers. The Engineer must also be able to quickly and effectively diagnose and correct medium to complex issues relating to the A/V equipment that supports these functions. The Engineer will be able to provide guidance to the customer for system upgrades and changes. The Engineer will also provide daily support for conference room set up, scheduling, recording, management, and maintenance.


Analyze customer procurement documentation, perform site-surveys, and conduct needs-analysis meeting with customers.
Provide AV consulting services to customers and provide documentation.
Assist with the development of AV proposal efforts; including bill of materials, technical responses and drawings.
Proven ability to engineer quick turn AV solutions and work within compressed deadlines, as needed.
Write and provide AV proposal documentation
Understand and apply industry standards and best practices
Identify and implement alternative technology approaches to meeting customer requirements.
Provide Tier III support to staff to analyze and rectify technical faults on site and remote.
Assist with the implementation of AV solutions as needed
Other duties as assigned.

BS/BA or equivalent education & experience
Min. 3 (3) years' experience in VTC and multimedia design engineering
Understanding of AMX and Crestron source code development and implementation for large complex implementations
Experience in multimedia installation and integration
Able to interpret and make updates to complex systems drawings.
Skilled in audio visual equipment configuration such as DSPs and matrix switcher
Experience with but not limited to multimedia equipment such as Extron, Shure, AMX, Crestron, Cisco, Polycom, Clearone, Biamp, etc.
Familiar with Barco Click Share, and Skype for Business a plus
Highly proficient in system troubleshooting
Must possess a strong ability to multi-task
Environment demands a detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated individual
Skillful with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, a variety of governmental employees and officials, and the general public
Understanding convergence of IT and AV technology and UC as a Service
Working knowledge of IT and network engineering practices as it applies to AV solutions
Working knowledge of AV system security measures as they apply to AV & VTC solutions

Crestron and/or AMX certifications
Biamp, Clear-One, or BSS certifications and training
Field engineering or lead installation experience
Polycom, Cisco and Vidyo certifications and engineering experience

CTS certification
CTS-I or CTS-D certification preferred
