The preferred candidate is an experienced professional who:
  • Will be responsible for improving the company's organic search results.
  • Creates and launches SEO programs for particular markets around the world, identifies areas of improvement and attempts to improve the sites' rankings in all search engines.
  • Ensures that the website for the market you are assigned, has been technically optimized to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the target audience.
The SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Strategist will:
  • Optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in all search engines, this includes site structure as well as page layout and navigation considerations
  • Control naming and linking conventions of web pages, images and multimedia files
  • Proactively investigate potential opportunities for visitor and search engine experiences
  • Perform information gathering services including technical website analysis, competitive/keyword research and link analysis
  • Align strategies and tactics to the enterprise SEO strategy and mandates
  • Develop, implement and report against proposed SEO roadmap/plan that will continually increase the market's website rankings within the search engines
  • Build systems and protocols internally that ensure all content is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (websites, mobile, social, video, blogs, retail portals etc)
  • Help set, and work to, performance indicators for SEO that are aligned to the overall IBM strategy and the overall marketing and business objectives
  • Promote both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build ranking, profile and traffic
  • Keep pace with the search industry trends and developments and see through implementation of new technologies that enhance SEO presence
  • Communicate and educate stakeholders on the importance of SEO, the value of organic traffic and engagements and best practices
Responsibilites:
  • 3+ years of experience in a data-driven digital marketing environment
  • 1+ year of experience with Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, formatting, et al)
  • 2+ years experience web analytics platforms i.e. Google Analytics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, implementing last-minute changes as needed (agency experience is ideal)
  • Strong attention to detail, creative, analytical and takes initiative to improve performance
  • Ability to work self-directed, under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple project simultaneously, and review and analyze web performance and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) data
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, time management and analytical skills
