Title: eCommerce Technical Project Manager
Location:  Remote + Travel to Longmont, CO (covered expenses)
Duration: 6-7 month contract


The eCommerce Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of a wide variety of technical activities, including SDLC (development, QA, code deployment) and daily operational tasks in a global online setting. Ideally, this position would also have technical skills and the experience necessary to be able to jump in and help coordinate development and operations tasks on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all backend ecommerce development initiatives for the our Global e-commerce sites.
  • Schedule and prioritize routine maintenance requests across all ecommerce systems. Catalog, document, and track all critical issues and enhancement requests.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with the ability to dig deep into a problem across multiple systems at various levels.
  • Manage support cases with external vendors and internal corporate partners.
  • Work closely with corporate IT, ecommerce site operations, ecommerce development and business owners to understand business objectives and strategy for each initiative.
  • Create, manage and enforce timelines for world class execution of all projects.
  • Manage development changes and QA to ensure proper risk mitigation. Ensure proper escalation of material risks to P&L holders. This role is personally responsible for successful backend project execution.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and reporting for all backend site enhancements – including timelines, requirements, issue lists, status, progress and risks.
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks in the software development lifecycle, including but not limited to: note taking at meetings, timeline creation and management, writing and updating requirements, scheduling meetings, communications to project and business teams.
  • Point of contact for all backend ecommerce system integrations, including:
    • Middleware
    • Demandware
    • CardConnect, PaymentTech, Adyen, Paypal
    • Epicor CRM
    • Third party feeds (e.g. Channel Advisor, ebay/Amazon, ExactTarget)
    • SAP (ecommerce orders, pricing, inventory, returns)
  • Rotating on-call support coverage required.
Required Skills:
  • The successful candidate will have experience working in a complex corporate structure and an ability to influence across departmental boundaries to affect positive change.
  • Master of project management – attention to detail, create and maintain organized and clear project documents (timelines, requirements, issues lists, etc).
  • Self-starter who works well in a demanding, fast-paced, and high-performance environment.
  • Motivated, dedicated, and reliable with commitment to achieving completion of tasks within agreed strict time scales.
  • Willingness to work off-hours during busy season.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and frequent change.

Technical skills required are:
  • Familiar with writing and running queries with MS SQL database tools.
  • Familiar with .Net C# development.
  • Ability to work with text / XML files.
  • Ability to write and develop test files (text and XML), as well as to analyze production data.
  • Experience with payment processing, CRM, marketing systems, and ecommerce hosted solutions.
  • 1-2 years previous experience in ecommerce technology or retail operations, or similar operations role.
