My client in Horsham, PA is looking for a Technical Support Specialist!

Technical Support Specialist
Location: Horsham, PA
Type: 6+ month contract
Start: ASAP

Provide technical support to all users and assist with the maintenance of on-prem and cloud based systems. Assist with the migration of workstations and set up of new users in newly acquired workspace.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Providing telephone and in-person support to Windows 10.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and repairing product/system failures.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading software and hardware.
  • Ensuring proper functioning of the organization's network information systems.
  • Maintaining system security via firewalls, and VPN configurations.
  • Recommending standards for computer and network systems.
  • Analyzing, designing, creating, documenting, and testing of computer, server and network platforms
  • Enforcing information technology policies and procedures.
  • Developing backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Maintaining hardware and software inventory.
  • Training employees.
  • Performing other related duties/special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience analyzing symptoms for accurate isolation of user and network problems.
  • Ability to install and maintain personal computers, and networks.
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers (Azure), Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements/standards.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Routers and Firewalls.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing resources to meet goals on simultaneous/multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
To be considered, you must have the ability to lift 40 lbs. (computer equipment) and work a flexible work schedule, with occasional late nights and weekends. Must be available on call 24/7.
