Position Summary:
This role assumes responsibility for the execution of online tactics designed to optimize and enrich the representation of products on the various operating companies' websites. In addition, this role is responsible for the collection and designation of appropriate digital assets and content, and the creation and management of product-related meta data required to optimize onsite search.

  • Perform necessary content activities: edit, append, augment, cleanse
  • Drive and monitor data governance
  • Establish and enforce data governance guidelines and principals
  • Define and regularly monitor data quality measurements and provide management reports
  • Identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness
  • Provide support for internal and external audit activities
  • Establish and maintain data dictionary
  • Define and document data naming and formatting standards
  • Establish consistent data definitions and facilitate regular Data Stewardship and Governance Council meetings
  • Support on-going business change initiatives
  • Closely interact with OpCos and provide master data subject matter expert input to various project teams as it relates to master data management and governance
  • Interface with vendors to identify data requirements to support business processes and objectives
  • Integrate data life cycle management requirements & activities into project plans
  • Assess and execute master data conversion plans for project implementations as required

  • Bachelors degree in Information Sciences or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years of related eCommerce, product merchandising or product management experience desired
  • Understanding of Product Information Management (PIM) systems and product data methodologies
  • Experience collecting and managing product related digital assets
  • Experience with electrical products desired
  • Knowledge of wholesaling, in particular electrical, is desired
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for grasping and applying acquired knowledge
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Responsive to both internal and external customer needs
  • Thorough worker with ability to maintain rigorous attention to detail on repetitive tasks
  • High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work; to follow a schedule of work and meet set targets with limited direct supervision
  • Excellent internet research skills
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items
  • Experience and knowledge of data life-cycle management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with general project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
