As UX designer, you will bring product ideas and member outcomes to life with intuitive, well-articulated experiences that members will love. Distilling nebulous concepts into meaningful and memorable experiences is your passion and you want to manage the lifecycle of an idea from initial whiteboard sketches all the way through to release. You will collaborate early and often with your product team, including product managers, UI designers, and developers, to make sure the product design is valuable, feasible, and satisfies user needs as well as business requirements.

You understand how design and development can both augment and constrain your ideas, and you effectively use data to inform product design decisions.You'll be an integral part of large initiatives such as cross-platform feature development as well as the nuances that make daily interactions with the brand a pleasure.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Elevate product and marketing concepts into valuable member experiences by sketching, wireframing, flowing and prototyping.
  • Work on a dedicated cross-functional product team in an agile/Lean UX environment.
  • Communicate directly with all members of the product team on an ongoing basis to collaborate and validate product design ideas across devices and operating systems.
  • Perform concept testing and usability testing with members and non-members to validate and invalidate product ideas and prospective design executions.
  • Lead sketching sessions with the product team and product stakeholders.
  • Offer creative solutions to product-related design/usability challenges and expose site usability problems.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Expert in articulating and communicating product ideas with user flows, wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate user outcomes set forth by product manager and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Omnigraffle, Sketch, or similar applications.
  • Familiar with user-centered design methods and current web technology, including responsive design and mobile-first.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, JS and other front-end technology.
