Title: Events Coordinator 
Job Type: Contract 
Job Length: Until July 2018 

Position Summary:

As the Event Coordinator, you will be working with multiple business areas to develop and execute event marketing plans for trade shows, conferences, seminars and other events. You will have a love for special event management, be able to build relationships with internal and external customers and see an event all the way through from conception to completion. We are looking for someone who has a unique blend of project management and technical savvy with the desire to invest time and energy into learning more about the market(s) and most of all, passionate about communicating!

  • Assisting with developing and executing event marketing plans for commercial, government and corporate business areas; Collaborating with leadership to identify strategic goals and objectives for each event

  • Driving event coordination and timelines across internal teams (primarily Business Development and Marketing Communications)

  • Coordinating and negotiating all event logistics with vendors and suppliers including contracts, design, services, printing, shipping, etc.

  • Managing event budgets and expenses effectively; maximizing value while mitigating risks/costs.


  • Prior event management experience including international markets

  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate project needs

  • Top-tier problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve results

  • Ability to facilitate and drive cross-team collaboration with diverse groups in a cross functional organization

  • Outstanding communication skills including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking

  • Flexible, organized and ability to manage multiple, deadline-oriented projects simultaneously with little supervision\\ Desire to learn about the broadband/communications industry

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) plus event planning tools

  • Travel up to 50% of the time, including international and non-traditional hours

  • US Citizenship


  • Bachelor's degree in a related study of Marketing, Business or Communications

  • Experience in using a lead capture system such as Leadature

  • Expertise in scheduling across multiple calendars and conference rooms in Microsoft Outlook or other scheduling tool

  • Proficiency in email distribution systems such as Constant Contact, Marketo, Hubspot, or MailChimp

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple, deadline-oriented projects at the same time
