General Summary:
The Design Director drives the design development process, from concept to delivery, by supervising a
team of designers who create design concepts that meet GR brand needs & ultimately drive online
customer acquisition. The Design Director will manage the timely execution of each stage in the process, and
coordinate across brands to ensure brand integrity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
 Lead the design of new web sites, provide ongoing graphics and HTML support for current
websites, assist with site frameworks, wireframes and user experience - for web, social, mobile
and etc.
 Work in collaboration with Creative Director to develop and refine brand vision and guidelines.
 Set direction and maintain consistency across brand identities: includes look and feel for all
consumer-facing creative implemented online, in print and across social media platforms.
 Deliver high quality creative products while insisting on high standards for self/others on the creative
team.
 Oversee and quality control the design of web projects. Work with design team to set web design
guidelines/brand guide. Work with product team to identify and concept opportunities to improve user
experience on the web site/mobile.
 Work collaboratively with marketing and web site/email team on development of content strategy.
 Manage a team of direct reports.
 Creatively interpret strategic vision of business partners while working closely with cross-functional
teams.
 Supervise and train employees, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Requirements
 Directing the daily deliverables of the digital design department so that the environment, culture, team,
capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support digital acquisition
goals.
 Ensuring that our high quality of creative is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards for
him/herself and others on the team.
 Collaborating and contributing to the creative process as a leader of a design team.
 Ensuring the professional development and readiness of the design team.
 Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure artistic & creative quality.
 Set expectations and standards (build a culture) for design team attitude, behavior, teamwork

and professional development.
 Drive constant improvement in GR brand's creative quality and capabilities.
 Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
 Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative.
 Creativity, technical capability
Education
 Bachelor's Degree required preferably in graphic design or web design.
Desired
 8 - 10 years' experience in digital/e-Commerce design
 Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite required
 Must have demonstrated leadership expertise and in-house work experience
 Design for beauty or skin care product experience preferred
