BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The role of the Jr. Software Quality Assurance Analyst is to provide software quality assurance activities related to the quality, reliability, and compliance of products and service offerings. The Jr. Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work with and/or take direction from the Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst, Business Analyst, Application Architect, Lead Developers, and Senior Developers. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Work with Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst in developing software test plans and test cases for new development.
  • Work with customer, clients, and developers to troubleshoot, analyze, recreate, and resolve defects.
  • Tracking / logging software defects with sufficient details to understand and replicate the issue.
  • Provide 2nd Tier support to customer/clients pertaining to software issues and/or errors.
  • Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
  • Working knowledge of development life cycles.
  • Logical thinker and quick learner with strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience writing test scripts.
  • Must be capable of understanding software requirements and design in order to plan and schedule test activities; create test cases; and generate test plans, procedures, and report progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business and functional requirements and identify issues in the requirements.
  • Must be capable of participating in simultaneous test efforts for multiple projects.
  • Must be capable of maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding the application.
  • Must be capable of managing priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Customer service-oriented with a strong commitment to produce high quality, workable solutions for both internal and external customers.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
