Job Description
The Business Analyst ensures that MXM creates innovative, client-specific strategies that transform how clients conduct business online.
  • Works closely with clients to identify key business objectives, formulate comprehensive web strategy and define business requirements. Generates recommendations based on competitive analysis, metrics, online best practices, brand strategy, research (primary and/or secondary), etc.
  • Documents business requirements and scopes solutions for projects. Works closely with all project team members, including User Experience, Creative, and Engineering, to ensure business requirements are met throughout the project.
  • Defines and prioritizes features and functionality.
  • Collaborates with the Account Director and Project Managers to create strategic initiatives for clients.
  • Creates industry trend and competitive analysis reports.
  • Extracts and analyzes website metrics. Collaborates on monthly reports
  • Essential Job Functions
85% - Documents business requirements & scopes solutions (including features and functionality)
10% - Define best practice web-site strategies that align with overarching client digital marketing strategies.
5% - Review/Assess/Analyze client web analytics data and make recommendations
 
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience at an interactive agency or consulting firm preferred.
  • Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable writing reports and presenting to clients.
  • Experience in web marketing and branding strategies.
  • Familiarity with market research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mind-set.
  • Familiarity with consumer facing website trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
