The Junior Developer has the high-level responsibility for delivering on technology solutions to support the data analytics and client reporting tasks of media and digital advertising performance data. This individual will work with a group of engineers, analysts and media planners to implement optimizations, new features and bug fixes as needed. As a member of this team, (s)he will assume the role of the client's (analysts and media planners) technology partner who enables the rest of the team to function more efficiently.
The junior developer must have a solid understanding of software development best practices with knowledge of the digital marketing and media data concepts a plus.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Builds/Updates technology solutions in digital marketing, data analysis and workflow systems.
  • Works with the client teams, project managers and delivery teams to address technology related challenges.
  • Documents all designs to insure stable maintenance and deployment practices.
  • Follows the value of project processes and standard SDLC practices for quality of software. Educates oneself on emerging technologies and shares ideas with the team.
Job Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of end user exposure in recent years
  • Experience building, deploying and supporting software in a cloud environment (Amazon or comparable)
  • Exposure to big-data technologies (HDFS, HIVE or Impala)
  • Experience with the following technologies
    • Data storage & Query: MySQL (or comparable SQL and Relational DB), MongoDB
    • Languages: Java, PHP or comparable
    • Cloudera, TALENT, Tableau, Hadoop, HIVE, Impala, a plus
  • Strong understanding of core architectural principles such as modularity, restorability, parallelization.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
