Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the security of data, applications, network, systems, end user devices and our client's overall cyber architecture on premise or in the cloud.
  • For large projects with multiple systems, the security architect is responsible for aligning cyber security solutions with business strategies, working with senior management and technical specialists across functional disciplines.
  • The security architect coaches the application and technical specialists during the design phase in what and how their applications, appliances and/or solutions should be secured or mitigated against risk.
  • They are responsible for existing security design of supported Client's applications and over all infrastructure.
  • Develops the architectural governance and processes for securing the enterprise data, solutions, and/or infrastructure.
  • Aligns cyber security with the business needs and objectives.
  • Consults on major systems strategies and implementations.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, risk, confidentiality, integrity, availability, cryptography, network security, web security, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of industry standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/02, CIS Top 20 Critical Security Controls (formerly SANS), etc.
  • Ability to present to diverse business and technical audiences and "sell” cybersecurity to those who may not be educated on cybersecurity risks impacting the business

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to a wide variety of technologies and applications.

Education and Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
  • One or multiple formal certification in security such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CIPP/EU/US, and/or CISA.
