Mondo is hiring for a mid-level Payroll Manager! 

Description: 

A leader in the IT Staffing Industry, and recognized as one of 'Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces', Mondo has a very interesting and exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager.  This role will report directly to the CFO.  Mondo's Boston office is situated within a newly renovated loft space at 239 Causeway Street, desirably located within a block of North Station and the North End.  

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 2 years experience supervising people to function as a leading member of the Payroll team within the Finance Department.  The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both on paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.

Responsibilities: 

 
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll for w2 and 1099 workforce is processed accurately and timely for a 500+ workforce
  • Oversee the monthly Net30 payroll processing
  • Understand proper taxation and application of employer paid benefits
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Generate and distribute requested payroll reports on an ad-hoc or as needed basis (bi-monthly, quarter end)
  • Main Point of contact for internal and external payroll audits (Workers Compensation, 401k, etc.)
  • Manage the reconciliation of monthly, quarterly and year to date payroll reporting
  • Provide high caliber customer service to resolve employee issues and questions: respond to emails, phone calls and faxes.
  • Adherence to federal, state and local tax laws, and resolves state payroll tax filing/registration matters 
  • Setup new/close out states and jurisdictions as needed
  • Setup/maintain earnings and deduction codes within the validation table
  • Manage GL system
  • Create/Maintain process docs and procedures as needed

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Federal and State laws as it pertains to wage and earnings
  • Software skills include ADP Workforce Now, Salesforce (desired but not required)
  • 3-4 years of experience managing multi-state and multi-cycle payrolls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Proficiency with email (Google, G-Chat), and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated technological aptitude highly preferred
  • Familiarity with FLSA and record keeping requirements
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
