My direct client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst.

Title: BI Business Analyst
Location: New York, NY (Near One World Trade Center)
Duration: 6 + month Contract to Hire
Interview: Phone Screen, F2F

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business requirements by working closely with the clients / users of the system.
  • Understand business requirements and interpret into system solutions ensuring that all possible scenarios have been covered.
  • Develop/coordinate prototypes and demonstrations
  • Participate/document design solutions
  • Conduct quality assurance & integration testing to ensure all business requirements have been met
  • Analyze business data working closely with business and technology to understanding the information
  • Work with engineering team to ensure quality development based on requirements & design.
  • Assist with project management and tracking; regular meetings with clients/users and engineers, create test plans, project plans, implementation plans and track project through SDLC life cycle
  • Provide post production support for both maintenance and enhancement solutions
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Assist project manager in creating effective and achievable project plans, management of the team's execution of project tasks and secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project stakeholders.
  • Assist project manager in communication tasks including meeting minutes, status reporting, risk management, assisting/escalating issues that cannot be resolved in the team, and in general, making sure the project is delivered within budget, on schedule, and within scope.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of business analyst experience
  • 5 years of financial planning technical systems knowledge desired (MicroStrategy, PeopleSoft, Cognos/TM1, Hyperion,etc).
  • Extremely organized with good presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with good customer relationship & support skills and the ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task easily and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project; SharePoint is a plus).
  • Experience working in a globally distributed team.
  • Objective-oriented with dedication and commitment to job duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Business Analyst certification a plus.
