Marketing Automation – Specialist
Location: Lincolnshire, IL

The Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for the design, testing, maintenance, optimization and reporting of automated online marketing campaigns. Based at our Lincolnshire IL headquarters, this role sits in the Global Demand Center, a group that drives digital strategy and execution, content & marketing technology within the client's broader marketing organization. The role will report to the Manager, Campaign Strategy.
The Marketing Automation Advisor will be a power user of both Eloqua and SFDC focused on campaign automation, tracking and reporting within these two systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support marketing by designing, executing and reporting on B2B demand generation campaigns
  • Work with marketing managers and creative services to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation and CRM systems
  • Work closely with digital marketing strategists to define and implement new functionality and product offerings
  • Continuously analyze operational process to find and implement new efficiencies
  • Manage outbound e-mail campaigns
  • Provide day-to-day system maintenance and configuration of the systems, and act as technical resource for system support
  • Work with technology partners to understand system functionality and roadmaps
  • Provide documentation and training to end users
  • Routinely audit user practices to ensure compliance
  • Continuously drive innovation of the marketing automation products
  • Support integrated marketing teams in quarterly performance reports, consolidating data from various systems and providing analysis and insights.

  • 5+ years experience working directly in marketing automation platforms with a minimum of 2 years working in Eloqua.
  • Prefer Eloqua certification
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Marketing, MIS or Business Administration
  • Must have a good understanding of the Web and Web technology (HTML, basic CSS) and the ability and desire to expand current technical skill-set
  • Previous experience in or working closely with Information Systems and marketing groups
  • Good understanding of relational data structure.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining system documentation and training materials
  • Interpersonal skills: verbal/written communication, listening, coaching and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Proven track record of obtaining results without direct report authority
  • Highly self-motivated contributor who works well as an individual and within a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, partner cross-functional teams and communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong business, marketing and information systems acumen
