JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director – Global Sourcing and Supply Management, this position is responsible for the end-to-end project management of key global projects, software, and systems within the Global Sourcing organization. These projects may encompass cost reduction, risk mitigation, supplier development, or new product introduction. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring that the global teams (USA, Canada, Mexico and China) are sufficiently trained and practiced in the establishing of detailed project plans, as well as, deadline management.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop, launch, and implement a global Project Management training plan for all the Global Sourcing team.
• Guide, monitor, and mentor the Sourcing team on how to define, develop, execute, and maintain project plans encompassing supplier development, risk mitigation, and cost reduction.
• Assist the Sourcing teams to establish the scope and how to manage the required deadlines for their projects.
• Develop and build a process to support the presentation of ROI (Return on Investments) for all the major projects undertaken by the global Sourcing team.
• Develop a resource planning tool to assist the Sourcing team as they develop their project plans.
• Develop, maintain, and publish a project Executive Summary including a project risk assessment.
• Act as a liaison between New Product Development and Global Sourcing on larger projects.
• Enlist the individual support of the necessary Sourcing Managers on the smaller NPD projects
• Train the team to be completely proficient in the use of Confluence, SharePoint, and other Global Sourcing systems.
• Develop with the Manger(s) Global Sourcing specific project templates to streamline project development.
• Conduct regular project management training sessions/refresher courses as required.
• Stay current with any new project management software.
• Conduct all new hire project management training sessions.
• Provide executive level progress reports on new product development.
• Manage and report on cost savings projects Globally.
• Manage and report on contract progress Globally.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
• BA/BS in Business or Technical Discipline.
• PMP is a must.
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the industrial mfg. sector is a must.
• Knowledge of Confluence, SharePoint, Oracle, and misc. global procurement systems.
• Ability to do international travel up to 25%.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Ability to Influence People.
• Ability to be a Mentor/Coach.
• Experience in a supply chain group would be desirable.
