Primary Purpose of Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that our client's IT projects are managed according to time, cost, quality and scope expectations in order to achieve business goals.
This position is expected to bring strong IT literacy and application of Project Management techniques to facilities delivery of projects to the business.

  • Day to day decisions related to Project Management of assigned projects.
 

 
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Partnering with the broader IT team and other business representatives, this position is responsible for:
  • Directing and managing the planning, development and implementation of applications projects from beginning to end, involving both modern (e.g. agile) and traditional (e.g. waterfall) methodologies.
  • Producing high quality documentation and ensure that transparent, easy to follow audit trails support all project activity.
  • Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with relevant senior management and stakeholders.
  • Estimating and managing project resources, budgets and expertise needed to achieve project goals.
  • Overseeing work being completed by project teams
  • Co-ordinating with project team member line managers where project resources are not a dedicated to the project.
  • Defining project success criteria and disseminating to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Proactively managing project change requests, issues and risks, devising contingency plans when appropriate.
  • Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.
  • Building and developing business relationships vital to the success of projects.

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Project management certification is highly desirable.
Experience & Process Competencies:
 
 
 
 
 
  • At least 2 years' experience in a project management capacity
  • Experience in leading medium to large scale global IT applications projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with different reporting lines.
  • Experience managing digital projects involving customer loyalty, websites and eCommerce.
  • Experience managing development and change with business facing and line of business applications.
  • Exposure to both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Sound understanding of project management principles and practices and application of same in a business or related industry environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively utilise allocated resources, which includes planning, delegating and prioritising. Ability to prioritise and be flexible when responding to changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to make decisions within a team environment, which progress the project's desired outcomes.
  • Experience creating Project Plans, Schedules, Status Reports and other Project Artefacts.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to build rapport with peers.
  • Strong intellectual capacity, communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Experience in Wine, Supply Chain, FMCG/Client or Manufacturing industry highly desired.
  • An awareness of Occupational Health Safety & Welfare issues, standards and actions in the work place.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with one or more of the following technology solutions is strongly preferred:
    • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Community Cloud)
    • SiteCore or other CMS'
    • Boomi integrations
    • POS & eCommerce Platforms including subscription/club management software
