A Client of ours is hiring a seasoned Software Implementation Project Manager to manage and plan the execution of projects, communicate with and manage the customer base, while building a project team while developing budgets and timeline estimates. The company is in the insurance industry, so someone with a background in insurance would be a plus! As the Software Implementation PM you will manage large multi-phase projects and demonstrate leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit, while delivering results in a team oriented and dynamic environment!

  • Ensures that the diverse project components are planned, managed, and controlled from project initiation to project wrap-up within the agreed time, cost, and quality boundaries.
  • Ensures that Project issues and risks are identified, recorded, managed to resolution and assessed in terms of cost/time impacts.
  • Ensures that an effective project team is set up to achieve the project deliverables.
  • Projects goals to be set and performance reviews will need to be carried out for the project team members.
  • Works closely with the business development manager/account manager to ensure the customer and client interests are best served at all levels.
  • Detailed project reporting & metrics are required to be produced ranging from regular internal status reports to customer progress reports.
  • Clear and reliable tracking of effort expended for billing purposes will also need to be maintained.
  • Provides after hours, on call support as needed.

  • Experience working in a vendor environment, as the vendor or the client working with a vendor.
  • Experience working with Software implementation projects in a client facing environment.
  • Exceptional project management skills with experience of project management methodologies.
  • Experience in a related work experience for a software product company/and/or IT responsibility for an insurance company.
  • Strong analytical skills, logical and structured in approach preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Understanding of existing & emerging technologies and an understanding of software development from initial requirements through to onsite deployment.
  • Strong decision maker with proven leadership skills
  • Ability to create a positive and innovative, engaging work environment.
  • Flexibility to travel on occasion.

Formal education in IT, Project Management or Insurance related disciplines.
