Our client in La Plata, MD is currently hiring directly for a Marketing Specialist!!!
The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of strategic marketing tactics that elevates brand awareness, drives store traffic, builds customer engagement and retains loyal customers. He/she is responsible for coordinating and implementing marketing activities that include design, campaign management, local store marketing tactics, special events, advertising and community building efforts.  
This position works closely with franchisee owners, field management and the corporate brand marketing department.
Marketing Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with key players on the brand marketing team to make sure that marketing projects gets the resources and attention they need to be successful, on budget and on time.

  • Manages the conceptualization, production and implementation of marketing/promotion materials for all stores by coordinating graphic design requirements, creating executions guides and managing printing and delivery of all items to support product launches.
  • Responsible for managing logistics, vendors and timely delivery of all program/campaign materials for stores: point of purchase materials; labels, signage, etc. and all corresponding communication.
  • Assists in the development of global and local store marketing programs to be rolled out to the field. This includes designing, assisting in the development of program ideas, managing cross-department collaborations teams, developing rollout materials, and sharing best practices with the field operations.
  • Serves as a key collaborator and relationship builder, working in tandem with Category Management, Price Book, Training and Operations to ensure promotional campaigns and engagement activities are developed on-time and meet project timelines.
  • Works alongside Marketing Manager to plan and execute soft and grand opening activities with the Retail Operations team for all new store openings.
  • Coordinates market-wide and local event opportunities to ensure proper staffing levels with event objectives clearly understood and successfully executed.
  • Supports Community Engagement Strategy through tactical implementation of programs through execution of community events, fundraisers and sponsorships.
  • Serves as the gatekeeper of all brand assets and usage of brand assets to maintain brand standards and consistency.
  • Stays current and forward thinking on new marketing tools and platforms, best practices and use within the competitive landscape
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Fluency in traditional software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as MAC systems and Adobe Programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  • Graphic design, Adobe Design
Applied Experience
  • Online portfolio of previous work is required
  • Extremely organized, project management experience to completion
  • Proofreading skills
  • A problem solver with proven project management skills who is detail oriented.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully adapt and cope with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Graphic design capabilities
