General Description
The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for creating interest and demand for our client's SMB products through product launch material such as consumer packaging, collateral, presentations, website pages, e-mails, digital marketing assets, sales and tradeshow material and other creative projects. You will drive corporate strategic messaging into all marketing communications deliverables. This role will collaborate closely with the Product marketing and sales teams across multiple business units, to ensure consistent comprehension and messaging regarding our client's overall value proposition and key messages for its products.
The Project Manager manages outside design agencies and coordinates with internal stakeholders in sales and product marketing to make sure all information is accurate and approved.  This person also acts as a gatekeeper to maintain a consistent company image and positioning. He/She is also responsible for uploading and managing a database of company assets. The MarCom Manager ensures that all projects are done on time and within budget. 

Knowledge & Skills
This person should have a BA/BS degree or equivalent in Marketing, Packaging, Project Management, or Communications.  He/She should possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, for use in assisting to develop strategic messaging, product-related messaging and sales training messaging. This person should be creative, and use self-initiative. This person should have a keen sense of urgency, and able to work with different groups and disparate personalities within the company.  Other requirements: Deep understanding of strategic positioning and messaging, and demonstrated expertise in driving this positioning into all levels of the organization.

  • 6+ years marketing communications and development experience, including: structural and graphic development of consumer packaging, marketing communications in a technical environment, working closely with product marketing, operations, engineering, and sales organizations.
  • Strong negotiator for timeline management and budgets
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating competing priorities from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and execution skills: ability to work effectively within all levels of the company - with their executive leaders, with directors of key departments, and with managers in each of those departments.
  • Proven maturity and good judgment in hearing competing ideas, driving consensus within the company, and synthesizing many ideas into coherent, compelling and actionable messages.
  • A passion for excellence: work output, collaboration, communication and overall business results.
  • Comfort with the strategic and tactical aspects of digital marketing.
  • Implementation, strategic marketing and message development/execution. Knowledge of networking products, familiarity with Smart Sheet, asset management systems, Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop, and Acrobat Pro.
