Job Duties:
 
Our clients Copywriter must be a polished communicator with an action-oriented focus, capable of solving communication challenges and developing original solutions. We are looking for a creative thinker with prolific ideas, able to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines. 

Job Requirements:
• Strong conceptual and strategic skills leading to compelling copy with inventive solutions. 
• Ability to create fresh language that is "ownable" for products that are frequently advertised. 
• Experience in writing everything from two-word headline copy to editorial-length text.
• Some design knowledge—fonts, layouts, etc.—to optimize the effectiveness of all materials. 


Responsibilities
• Develop and create effective, engaging concepts for promotions that support business objectives that adhere to established brand voice. 
• Produce strategic creative solutions. 
• Write or edit creative briefs, develop concepts, and write copy for a variety of retail marketing projects. 
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Designers, Project Managers and Client to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives 
• Work with Creative Directors and Designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style. 
• Present campaigns to internal account team and also to clients. 
• Work on special projects including new business pitches, promotional materials and internal agency communications.
• Proofread.
 
Required Skills
• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field. 
• Minimum 2 years of professional writing experience, preferably a combination of in-house and agency work, with at least 1 years devoted to retail.     
• Strong retail copywriting skills and knowledge of editing procedures.
• Solid presentation skills. 
• Good people skills and a sense of humor. 
• Strong portfolio showcasing work for established brand(s), preferably in retail industries.
