Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of user-centered design, human-computer interaction and industry best practices to provide useful and usable interface design solutions.
  • Use a diverse skill set including the abilities to understand complex business goals, products, technical content, and market strategy in order to create engaging, effective and accessible experiences for a wide range of users
  • Work closely with product, marketing, operations, and design teams to translate business requirements into meaningful user experiences
  • Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to maintain consistent user experience throughout an application, site or domain and ensure intended user experiences are executed
  • Act as a liaison with customer experience and technology teams to ensure that user experience remains consistent across applications
  • Work collaboratively with other team members on interaction design principals and best practices
  • Assess and identify most effective UX methods and best practices for specific projects. Assist teams in assessing UX needs
  • Provide consultative services to IT, business departments and third party vendors as needed. Specific responsibilities depend on area of specialization, but may include: UX Design
  • Translate high-level requirements, including target audience needs, tasks and goals into innovative and effective user interface designs and data visualizations.
  • Be able to incorporate real user feedback into designs.
  • Provide analysis and research to define and develop taxonomies for complex navigation structures.
  • Manage third-party research vendors as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's degree in Human Factors, Interaction Design or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience, related work experience UX Generalist or User Experience Design or User Research experience
  • Proficiency creating prototypes with a number of rapid prototype tools, such as Axure.
  • Expertise in HTML5 and CSS technologies, including knowledge of and experience with responsive web design
  • Experience with complex, transactional business applications
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS (ability to write code not required).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information, and effectively mediate in situations where conflict arises. Understanding of how and when to escalate issues to the appropriate levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals and teams across the organization to meet complex business needs
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management and SDLC methodologies and tools
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
