As a Database Engineer, you will:

Serve as the essential contact for IT personnel on all problems and matters involving our data platforms, including performance, tuning, troubleshooting, gathering and interpretation of diagnostics, capacity planning, training, testing, security and overall configuration.
Perform SQLserver administration services including user support, job scheduling, code promotion, etc.
Code, tune and review SSIS packages and T-SQL stored procedures.
Analyze current corporate data flows in-depth, rationalize/upgrade/re-write/re-design data management processes.
Design and manage DB code promotions processes.
Be key contributor in architecture, design and tooling decisions as part of the Data Management Team.
Provide appropriate verbal and written communication to all stakeholders.
Be Agile and ready to do what it takes to make data awesome.

Qualifications for success:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
At least 3 years' experience required using SQLserver (SSIS, T-SQL, SSRS).
At least 3 years' experience using Windows platforms with SQLserver.
Familiarity with a variety RDBMS.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Qlik, tableau, PowerBI)
Hands-on Hadoop experience is a big plus.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:
AWS/RDS experience
In-depth knowledge/experience at DBA level
QlikView admin experience.
Git experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
