Strategic Planning
  1. Coordinate and track the planning, requirements gathering, process diagrams, execution, monitoring/controlling and closing of Informatics, Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects in support of organizational area's strategic objectives and ongoing operations.
  2. Interacts with project leadership to define and document project objectives, scope, functional requirements, technical requirements, process requirements, metrics, key performance indicators and stakeholders.
Collaborates with Director of Finance & Technology to determine resource requirements, budget, and deliverables.

  1. Coordinates projects, administers and maintains project management tools, assists in planning, estimating and scheduling project work and supports monitoring and reporting of project progress.
  2. Tracks initiation and execution of software development or implementation and upgrade of several concurrent projects.
  3. Collaborates with technical lead to determine project timelines and scope, in cooperation with senior staff.
  4. Writes reports.
  5. Communicates project status, decisions, updates, revisions and changes to all stakeholders facilitating decision-making and project progress.
  6. Maintains organizational area's project management tool, assists in planning, estimating and scheduling project work and supports monitoring and reporting of project progress.
  7. Manages INVO Annual Report project and coordinates with vendors, internal and cross-campus teams to deliver the report on time and on budget.
Maintains and advises on website content structure changes.

IT Support
  1. Provides hands-on IT (hardware and software) support as needed and liaises with division IT (ORIT) and central NUIT departments to schedule and complete needed IT support projects, phone and data installs.
  2. Analyses IT infrastructure and plans upgrade and replacement schedules of hardware while keeping track of actual IT budget expenditures and projected expenses.
Proposes the selection, acquisition, configuration, implementation, and/or upgrade of hardware and software tools in the department and initiates necessary IT purchases.

  1. Performs research for future potential IT services and applications; investigates and compares alternative applications and vendors.
  2. Develops and maintains organizational area's document repository.
Oversees the design and modeling of new databases as needed.

  1. Collaborates with the functional teams to construct, update and track multiple project schedules and facilitates issue identification and resolution.
  2. Executes projects in compliance with university policies and deployment standards.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)
  1. Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
  2. 2 years coordinating Information Technology (IT) and related virtual and physical infrastructure projects or other relevant experience required.
  3. Experience planning and preparing data migration projects.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
  1. Experience using query building tools
  2. Experience using MS Excel including the vLookup function, Pivot Tables and Charts
  3. Experience creating MS Word forms
  4. Understanding of relational database concepts
  5. Knowledge of web based applications
  6. Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
  1. PMP or project management experience.
  2. PMP or experience with accounting systems.
  3. Background in data quality assurance.
  4. Experience with both Windows and OS X support.
  5. Experience with website content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress.

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
  1. Experience in writing structured query language (SQL)
  2. Understanding of data visualization principle
  3. Data migration project management.
  4. Financial data modeling experience.
