Location: NYC
Duration: Contract to Hire, 3 Months to Perm
Rate: Competitive

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support users in multiple departments at the main corporate office and distribution center
  • Over 90% of the computers to maintain and troubleshoot run Mac OS
  • Daily tasks mainly involve setting up, maintaining, and upgrading iMac's, MacBooks, in addition to some Windows PC's, printers, and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
  • The candidate's ability to adapt and learn new technology is critical
  • Must be willing to engage in a teamwork driven environment, and be able to multitask
  • Provide quick solutions to various software and hardware issues in person or using email, phone, and internal ticketing system
  • Routinely diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems
  • Repair and upgrade hardware with replaceable units
  • Install and configure specialty software for use at the corporate office for graphics designers, photographers, etc.
  • Use remote desktop utilities to provide immediate support
  • Follow up with users to cover any possible additional support
  • Escalate unresolved issues to other internal teams
 
Requirements:
            Knowledge and skills
  • Proficiency of Mac OS and its applications
  • Great technical knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and printers
  • Must have experience using Apple Remote Desktop or Remote Desktop Connection, in addition to Mac OS Terminal command line
  • Familiarity with Capture One photography software is a plus
  • Must have good general understanding of Adobe graphics design applications (for software maintenance, upgrades, file compatibility issues, recovery etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide written and verbal technical support
  • Willing to travel between NY and NJ locations.
Education and work experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience of Mac OS on-site tech support or help desk support
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is a plus
