Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with M&E and IT staff to understand how data is collected, stored, edited, and reviewed using current systems.
  • Work with M&E staff and other WfWI stakeholders in HQ and Country Offices (COs) to document requirements of new Dashboard.
  • Work with M&E staff in HQ and COs to document and implement reporting requirements.
  • Create processes for automated data cleaning and processing.
  • Develop a new SSRS 2016 website for reporting requirements.
  • Create an online Dashboard (.NET MVC) to allow HQ and Country Office staff to search, view, and edit data.
  • Control scope and ensure on time delivery with quality.
  • Coordinate with additional vendors and internal staff as necessary to ensure successful system, data and process integration
  • Perform UAT and integration testing where necessary
  • Prepare user documentation and training materials where necessary
  • Create & maintain an information technology project plan that effectively communicates project deliverables, milestones and goals
  • Efficiently identify & solve project issues
Skills and Qualifications
IT Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT environment where new systems are being developed/implemented regularly
  • 4+ years of experience in C# .NET software development
  • 4+ years of experience using .NET MVC
  • 4+ years of experience in SQL Server developing new data structures, writing queries, optimizing queries, and normalizing or denormalizing as needed
  • 4+ years of experience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Ability to create and consume APIs and Web Services
  • Experience with web technologies including javascript, jquery, ajax, css, grunt, and bower
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience implementing cloud based solutions 

Project Management Skills, Experiences, and Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills required
  • Demonstrated success as lead technical leader coordinating multiple stakeholders and vendors or developers
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA
  • Experience working with remote technical staff
  • Proven track record executing IT upgrade projects on schedule and in budget
  • Excellent listening skills to understand the needs, desired functionalities, and expected utilization of the database and dashboard.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain technical matters to non technical audiences, and understand business implications of technical conversations.
  • Proven problem solving skills with a track record of managing successful technology implementation or development projects
  • Leadership skills, proven dependability and integrity in difficult situations
  • Mental agility, ability to comprehend new technologies quickly and efficiently
  • Creativity and willingness to find cost effective pragmatic solutions
  • Good spoken and written English language skills
  • Previous work for International NGOs or commercial organizations in developing countries is an asset
