My direct client, a venture-funded cloud security solutions company located in Boston, MA is hiring a VP of Marketing.
 
Duration: Permanent Placement, Full-time
Location: Boston, MA (preferred) OR NYC OR remote
Salary: Competitive and Dependent upon Experience
Start Date: ASAP
 
The VP Marketing position reports to the CRO. They will be responsible to provide executive leadership, manage the Company's marketing team, lead in-bound and out-bound marketing activities worldwide, including corporate branding, corporate marketing, partner/channel marketing, product marketing, lead generation, marketing communications,
online marketing, social channels, press and analyst relations and events. The VP Marketing will drive company efforts to position my client as a visionary leader in its market and to establish a strong brand reputation. They will create a stream of quality leads for the sales development and sales organizations.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities
     Create recognition for my client's brand as the leader in its space.
     Drive the appropriate marketing strategy and tactics for the company
     A member of the executive management team.
     Strategic planning, including: corporate/product positioning, market and competitive analysis, and
customer/partner segment selection (vertical markets).  
     Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows,
seminars and events, materials, analyst and market research management, and website design and content.   
     Define, direct and be responsible for marketing programs for demand creation and lead generation.  
     Work closely with the VPs of Sales and Business Development, and their respective teams, to align marketing
and sales goals, and create a plan to achieve desired pipeline and revenue growth tarClientts.
     Own Product Marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools,
competitive analysis and general sales support.
     Develop and manage the Company's marketing budget.  
     Develop and track metrics (KPIs) and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.  
     Select and attend industry events and create and maintain events for channels, partners, prospects and
customers.
 
 
Required Skills/Experience
     10 years marketing experience in comparable industries with 4 years in a senior management position.  
•     B2B Software Marketing experience  
     Cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) or cloud security experience is a huge plus
     Exceptional track record in developing and implementing successful demand generation and lead generation
programs.  
     Experience in a fast-paced, driven start-up environment is a plus
     Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced marketing activities including those in other countries
