The Salesforce Administrator is a key member of the CRM  team and is responsible for maintaining Extreme's instance  of, including mapping business requirements to systems/technical requirements and user support.
  • Be a go-to person for the Salesforce platform
  • Provide global day-to-day end-user support (including system configuration, reporting/dashboards, complex formulas and system maintenance) and assist users with proactive best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, lead routing rules and approval processes
  • Work closely with business partners to understand business requirements
  • Work closely with various teams (IT, Sales, Service) to define and implement elegant, scalable and sustainable technical solutions using the Salesforce technologies
  • Work with development team to design and implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices and code quality techniques
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange
  • Stay current on Salesforce integration tools and best practices
  • Partner with other business and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into capability/platform roadmaps and work toward realizing the roadmaps.
  • Provide production support for assigned applications. Meet published SLAs for incidents and problems.
  • Provide support for application deployment activities.
  • Help with triaging and fixing defects for the planned releases and production
  • Assist with Salesforce platform management tasks such as app evaluations, profiles/org hierarchy design, integration with other systems, capacity planning, defining SLA measurements, etc.
  • Create and enable best practices, governance measures, and patterns for custom and configured solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute special projects as needed – including reporting, data clean-up, SFDC modifications, managing and setting up users, profiles, roles/hierarchy, security settings, object customization, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, etc.
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, configurations, controls, and training materials as the platform evolves.
  • 4 - 6 years' experience in Salesforce configuration and implementing CRM systems
  • Experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
  • Proven understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, and  Community, as well as the Platform
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce configuration, including workflows, validation rules, data mapping, object modeling, page layout design, and security controls
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system  and functional designs
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • SFDC Admin Certification Required
  • Experience with Marketo or a similar marketing automation software
  • SFDC Developer & Advanced Admin Certifications preferred
  • Preferred understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce,, Apex Code, Visualforce, SOQL, triggers and their use in software development
