Our client is seeking an experienced product manager to help us achieve our goal of transforming the way people think about easy, do-it-yourself security in today's homes.
As a senior product manager you will own the product from the beginning to end. You will own the product definition and work with the engineering and consumer marketing teams until your product ships, with the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Explore new concepts and early definition of potential products
  • Work closely with engineering to explore new product areas for new product
  • Understand basic technology problems, challenges, and solutions
  • Understand and internalize new product's mission, strategies, and objectives
  • Build business cases including revenue, competition, channels, marketing, etc.
  • Precisely define product features and benefits, use cases, customer targets, messaging and more in clear User Stories/MRDs
  • Work with UI/UX, engineering, legal, quality, marketing, finance and other product managers to get the product scoped and approved
  • Present to management team to get product approval and funding
  • Work closely with engineering, QA, finance on feature definition, financial metrics and implementation
  • Keep track of the feature status throughout the development
  • Clearly communicate development status, plans, tradeoffs, and progress toward milestones
  • Collaborate with other product managers, brand managers, packaging, web and sales team to refine messaging per deliverable
  • Contribute to shipping high quality product(s), on schedule
  • Deliver simple and intuitive user experiences with design and engineering
  • Research, analyze, and monitor competitive landscape to ensure our products are continuously innovative
  • Drive collaboration and execution between cross-functional teams
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and filter learning back into product development
Minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA preferred
  • 7-10+ years of hardware product management of consumer products
  • Smart home/IoT product management experience a plus
  • Camera or security product development/managment experience a plus
  • Strong background of retail and consumer channels
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, computer science, and wireless concepts
