Packaging Graphic Designer

Our client is looking for a graphic designer who is proficient in packaging design. This position is looking to start ASAP!
 
What their role will look like:
  • Designer that can do it all
  • Designs and executes primary and secondary product packaging for existing and new product development projects.
  •  Works directly on the graphic development and revision of product packaging and labeling.
  • Coordinates and tracks review of product packaging and labeling developed for the company.
  • Ensures quality of all labeling components by reviewing spelling, content and accuracy.
  • Maintains archive of all labeling components.
  • Organizes and maintains labeling documentation and artwork files.
  • Manage routing process, incorporating feedback from internal clients and proactively resolving issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders for timing of review and approval of all packaging and labeling components.
  • Represents the Labeling function on assigned Project Teams.
  • Reviews proofs, color correction and production changes. 
  • Maintains positive relationships with external suppliers and internal customers.
  • Monitor industry trends and apply learning to creative work.
  • Monitor and track reasons for delays in delivering artwork.

Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in graphic design with labeling or packaging emphasis. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and other common software tools.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Mac computer systems
  • Proficient in design skills demonstrating knowledge of visual design principals; graphic design, layout, typography, color and branding.
  • Experienced with, or capable of learning how to use, electronic review systems.
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information and materials in an appropriate manner, and in accordance to organizational policy, proper business practice, and/or appropriate external regulation/governance.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and organizational/ time management skills are required.
  • A high level of integrity while working under pressure is required.
  • Ability to function effectively with minimum supervision is required.
  • Understands impact of deadlines and recognizes importance of timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to labeling of prescription and OTC drugs and cosmetics is preferred.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires strong planning and organization skills.
  • Must be able to function in a team-oriented environment using independent judgment.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, approachable rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and external company contacts.
