Job summary
  • Lead and coordinate the provision of ICT network services within agreed service levels
  • Ensure effective security of information networks
  • Manage and coordinate the ongoing operation and maintenance of all data and voice communications services and networks
Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain service level objectives for Network services with Regional CIOs, Service Provision Managers and Application Management teams
  • Manage the provision of network services within agreed service levels, in-line with common company's monitoring approach 
  • Maintain systems and network security for all ICT assets
  • Maintain and monitor network infrastructure availability and reliability to meet agreed service levels, in-line with monitoring approach 
  • Identify network security requirements for new applications, software products, technology infrastructure 
  • Maintain and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards
  • Oversee implementation and accept introduction to service for new solutions and work efforts from a network and security perspective
  • Manage implementation of security and control techniques and technologies as per business requirements, and reviewing periodically for ongoing validity
  • Support the provisioning, installation, operation, upgrading, and performance testing of data and voice communications networks, in-conjunction with Systems Engineering
  • Manage and coordinate the ongoing installation of network and communications equipment on a global basis, in-conjunction with Systems Engineering
  • Coordinate second level problem determination and rectification of problems that occur with the security and network environment for the data center and remote sites
  • Maintain accuracy and currency of network & security documentation, including configuration documentation of known and tested states, and service procedures
  • Monitor and liaise with external expertise and knowledge sources on emerging risks and issues in network and security practices 
  • Maintain and communicate an ongoing technology work plan which details upcoming project and maintenance effort in network and security environments, in-alignment with overall portfolio plans and budgets  
  • Implement industry standard ICT network management practices
  • Ensure IT security and network employees have the required skills and qualifications to carry out their responsibilities 
  • Support the development of the ICT strategy and target EA, specifically ensuring new investments are consistent with existing infrastructure platforms, standards, and priorities 
  • Support the 'Infrastructure Management – Community of Practice' to ensure knowledge sharing, skill development of internal professionals 
  • Ongoing support of distributed infrastructure at remote sites
  • Troubleshoot network issues impacting the operations and performance of the private cloud
  • Uses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to addresses all ITIL based methodologies such as incident tickets, change requests, problem management related to the private cloud infrastructure
General Background and Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent background)
  • At least 8+ years of experience in IT, with 4 years of experience specializing in Network Engineering with some security experience
  • Experience supporting/deploying network infrastructure to remote sites
  • Experience managing network operations with an ITIL-based platform such as Service Now or Remedy
  • Experience engaging telecommunications carriers on incident/problem management
  • Technical network infrastructure hands-on experience preferred
  • Experience on Service Operation – practices of IT operations, network control and operation, problem management, and incident management
  • Knowledge in Cisco ACI and the Spine and Leaf Architecture preferred
  • Hands on experience on Cisco Nexus switches and routers
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls to include vASAs.
  • Working knowledge of F5's, VPN's; Palo Alto firewall experience is a plus
  • Wide area network (WAN) design experience a plus
  • Some Security experience is desired
  • CCNP Certified a plus
