Position Summary
- Director level role
- Understands key design strategies and principles
- Manage the interactive design process
- Manage and lead creative team and projects
Key Responsibilities
- Directs and coaches employee workload to ensure optimal productivity for departmental goals, individually and within a team of all new and existing sites to improve accessibility and usability.
- Oversees user experience/user interface (UX/UI) of web subsidiaries
- Communicates project status and participates in new initiatives to ensure all stakeholders are updated.
- Collaborates with creative staff and enforces style guides to consistently maintain cohesion between print and online media.
- Manages and assigns incoming jobs to artists and developers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Reviews creative briefs and concept documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborates with relevant business unit leaders to ensure individual project requirements are in line with company vision.
- Experience with HTML and CSS required, JavaScript a plus.
- Familiarity with Jira+ or other task management software a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Web/Interactive Design, Computer Technology, Graphic Design, Business Administration or related field.
- Six years of experience in staff leadership; user-centric design processes, techniques and tools; and websites and web application development.
- Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.
Skills
- Proficient use of MS Office Products, (X)HTML, CSS2+, JavaScript/Ajax, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) on Mac OSX platform.
- Above moderate to high levels of English reading, writing, and speaking; active listening, critical thinking; monitoring; coordination; persuasion; instructing; problem solving; analysis; troubleshooting; judgment; originality; and leadership.
