Position Summary: 

The director of global communications, brand and content is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of our global and corporate communications, content, brand, customer engagement and influencer relations initiatives. This is a player and coach role with ample strategic visibility to key stakeholders, and tasked with ensuring the modernization of our communications function to deliver a more material and measurable impact in support of our corporate business plan. Managing a small team of brand and content professionals complemented with external agencies and SME consultants, this leader will work x-functionally with all stakeholders at corporate, geo businesses and external parties to deliver successful and measurable results to ensure product is better known, understood and valued in our target markets.  

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • External with focus on awareness creation in support of current and future market growth priorities, development and support of thought leadership including paid amplification, social strategy development and execution, audience engagement and corporate messaging development
  • Internal employee and executive communications projects as needed
  • Content strategy, development and planning aligned to our customer journey in support of awareness, demand generation and enablement initiatives
  • Editorial oversight and support of key corporate and global content programs
  • Content portfolio management incl. globalization, measurement and analytics mapped to performance goals, incl. earned media
  • Owns stewardship of corporate brand including brand experience (improvement, consistency) and reputation management incl. NPS
  • Customer engagement
  • Customer insights and references program strategy and management in support of awareness, demand generation and brand initiatives
Influencer relations
  • Design and develop the influencer strategy in support of our business and marketing plan
  • Manage portfolio of influencer relations and ensure alignment globally
  • Execute influencer relationship strategy and drive maximum impact from retained PR and AR agency relations in support of our priorities

This role leads and manages three direct reports as well as a network of retained agencies and SME consultants.

  • Excellent understanding of developing corporate communication strategy, programmatic design, execution best practices and metrics
  • Social media strategy, program development and execution
  • Content strategy, content factory development, measurement, analytics and supporting technologies
  • Persona development proficiency
  • Well versed in Messaging framework development
  • Contemporary digital program tactics incl. owned, paid and earned media goals
  • Proven track record of nimbly developing compelling awareness and communication strategy and measurable implementation results leveraging contemporary capabilities
  • 5-7 years of managing corporate communications function
  • Cross functional stakeholder relation management
  • 3 years of supporting executives at C-level
  • Measurement of programs with comprehensive KPIs
  • 2-3 years of global exposure and management of communication initiatives across multiple geographies
  • History of successfully persuading stakeholders by influence vs. authority, as well as managing and developing a team
  • Fluency and/or proficiency of second language desirable
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, marketing or business
