Responsible for the management, development of profitable category business while assisting in the planning and execution of all promotions and marketing initiatives. This position supports the business and channel strategy. The Associate Product Manager will uncover key new business opportunities and will be responsible for product development activities related to increasing sales and profitability.  Work with marketing team to grow the brand, build brand equity.
  • Clearly understand the retail and independent channel, and identify all new opportunities and prioritize these opportunities based on internal product plans and strategy, competitive and industry retail landscape and analysis of the benefits to revenue/profitability growth.
  • Responsible for pricing and profitability
  • Assist in the development of promotions
  • Drive the execution of new tool launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Plan, execute and participate in all facets of the National Accounts and STAFDA product strategy
  • Support sales presentations as required
  • Work on new product development, market intelligence and day to day operations
  • Perform and coordinate market and channel research to gain insight into trends, technology developments, market and customer needs, competitive advantage and product perception.
  • Incorporate all the relevant competitive market intelligence into new product plans
  • Work with all Product Managers to launch new tools into the retail and independent channel. Take responsibility for and/or support the product marketing aspects of new product launches
  • Analyze sales figures and report back trends, issues and ideas to the Senior Product Manager or Director of Marketing
  • Work closely with sales team in helping with product knowledge and dealer visits as needed.
  • Keep landscapes on competitor product updated on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work evenings from time to time for discussions with Japan
  • International travel may be required.
· Experience working directly with key customers in a dynamic and professional manner
· Needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter, able to manage time effectively and meet

  deadlines within a highly dynamic work environment.
· Needs to be able to demonstrate effective planning and organizing skills and the ability to

  prioritize work and multiple projects to meet goals on schedule
· Needs excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills with a good

  rapport and proven track record working with key customers
· Needs to have an extensive knowledge of power tools and applications
· Needs to be extremely proficient in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
