Major Responsibilities and Competencies:
  • E-Commerce System Design and Development Skills for Java Web "Stack”
  • Java 7/8
  • Tomcat Application Server or equivalent Java Web Application Server like Weblogic, Websphere, etc.
  • Java Standard Tag Library (JSTL)
  • Java EE/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • HTML, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, XSL, XPath, JAXB, DOM
  • Strong Servlet, JSP and JDBC development experience
  • Git, Mercurial, BitKeeper, Subversion, etc.
  • Ant
  • General Skills
  • Modern software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, etc.
  • Object-oriented analysis, design, and coding techniques to maximize reuse, quality, and productivity
  • Test Driven Design and other testing methodologies
  • Understanding of Java Development tools (IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Netbeans)
  • Content management systems
  • Java Open Source Applications and Frameworks
  • Communicate and enforce coding standards
