Position Overview:
The Technology Systems Analyst position in the Global Network Operations and Technology group has the primary objective to plan, design and implement high-availability networks and for multiple business units with a focus on implementing the following technologies:
  • Network Admission Control
  • SD-WAN
  • Industry 4.0 (Factory Operational Technologies)
  • Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure, SAAS, IAAS)
The engineer will require extensive experience on network integrations from corporate acquisitions.
The position is technical and requires skill depth in several key network technology areas including; routing, switching, wireless, security, and WAN acceleration.  Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, DMVPN, WCCP, and QoS.  Knowledge about Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls is a plus.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Configure Cisco routers for various WAN technologies, including; MPLS, private line, and Dynamic Multiport VPN (DMVPN).  Have a strong working knowledge of access control lists and route maps.
  • Configure and support Cisco Catalyst switches.  Should have good working knowledge of; VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, and UTP/fiber cabling standards.  Experience with Cisco Nexus platform would be a plus.
  • Configure and support Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.  Should have good working knowledge of IPSEC and SSL protocols. 
  • Ability to manage numerous projects, tasks and other assigned work efficiently.  Key requirement is the ability to prioritize critical deliverables while meeting all other assigned duties.
  • Contribute to standards-based and scalable architecture/design of systems for global deployment with a focus on NAC, SD-WAN, Industry 4.0 and cloud technologies.
  • Install and support wireless LAN's using secure authentication methods on plant floors and administrative areas.
  • Install and configure Cisco WAE/WAVE WAN acceleration devices and troubleshoot client to server performance issues.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of and experience managing DNS and DHCP protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex performance problems involving network and application teams using Netflow and packet capture tools.
  • Partake in the after-hours support rotation with other GNS members. 
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 4 year college degree – preferably a technical degree (Computer Science or Engineering)
  • Cisco Certifications preferred – CCNA, CCNP
  • 8+ year's hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches
  • Strong project management experience
