Global Communications Senior Writer

Client Global Communications team is looking for a strong writer and editor with a passion for storytelling. The senior writer will write, edit and generate content for our external blogs, employee intranet, videos and social channels. The ideal candidate would have a general interest in advanced technology like artificial intelligence and augmented reality. The senior writer will also cover topics like company culture, global impact and diversity and inclusion. They will also work on executive thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Work with colleagues in the communications department to bring our culture to life across various channels through storytelling
Act as a reporter in the company to research, interview and write stories that build awareness and creates a compelling narrative about the company
Track, manage, copyedit employee and external contributors’ blog posts and rewrite to reflect the voice and tone of client
Manage and maintain project calendar for technology beat
Work with communications partners on executive thought leadership and ghostwriting
Write for social media channels
Report and cover on-campus events and external conferences that client executives are participating
Work with our video and visual lead in helping with photography/video as needed

Key Skills
Exceptionally strong writer, editor, storyteller
Strong attention to detail and grammar
Experience running channels and managing editorial calendars
5-10 years of experience in journalism and/or communications. Portfolio of written work required
Energetic, creative, proactive and enthusiastic -- willing to take initiatives with confidence, detailed follow through
Full of ideas on finding and telling great stories from within the company in interesting ways and formats
Familiarity and understanding of content management systems
Photoshop and video production skills/knowledge is a plus
Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
Enjoys meeting people and working with multiple groups within the company
Clear, thorough and concise communications skills
Good sense of humor

Client Notes:
-Please make sure your candidates have a sense of working with higher level executives.
-BA in Journalism, English, and Communication preferred. Will still consider strong portfolios with big companies on their resume.
-Previous Industry experience in News/Media outlets or Tech Company preferred.

There will be a writing/editing test during the interviews.
First round interviews will be video interviews, followed by bringing the top 3 candidates on site to interview with the team.
