The Network DevOps Senior Team Leads provide vision, leadership, and guidance to associates; coaches and mentors team members to ensure an inclusive, motivating work environment, and desired business outcomes are achieved. Accountable for performing all of our Expectations of a Leader and modeling PACT. Typically, Senior Team Leads are considered a player-coach performing individual job responsibilities in addition to providing leadership for their team. This is a position for a seasoned DevOps Network Engineer/Architect who has proven experience delivering complex networking projects independently, across a variety of network domains using DevOps skills, techniques and tools.



A Network DevOps Senior Team Lead will be responsible for the following:
Planning, designing building, testing and deploying turn-key and custom engineered software and tools to improve the operational ability of the Network Operations and Network Engineering organizations.
Iteratively improving existing systems and infrastructure to better meet the needs of the Network Operations and Network Engineering organizations.
Monitoring and resolving issues with deployed systems.
Automation and Scripting SME for Network Engineering Organization
Training and Mentoring Regional and Global team members.
Reporting in to the Director of Network Services, responsible for evaluating new technology initiatives, Proof-of-Concepts and service development.
Automate processes and workflows to increase the operational agility of the Network Operations and Network Engineering organizations.
Analyze data from tools to determine areas of improvement, determine and implement the necessary changes
Create and provide recurring and ad-hoc reports of various network statistics



A well-qualified candidate will possess many of the following skills:
Linux/Unix Systems Administration (RHEL, CentOS, FreeBSD)
Programming/Scripting (PHP, Python, Shell Scripting, Perl)
Networking (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS)
Database Administration (MySQL)
Network Analysis (Packet Captures, Riverbed Tools, Wireshark)
Network Performance Monitoring (ZenOss, Analytics, Solarwinds)
Ansible, Chef



A well-qualified candidate will be familiar with the following concepts:
Agile Methodology (Scrums, Sprints, Iteration)
DevOps Concepts (Collaboration, Learning, Automation)
Understanding of Network Device Configurations (Cisco, Juniper)
Non-Core Network Applications (DNS, Load-Balancers, Firewalls)



Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors of Science in a technology related field or equivalent experience
At least 5 years’ work experience in a large-scale, enterprise or service provider network or information technology organization
Experience in developing and implementing systems management tools and processes to support network capacity, alerting, and performance management
Working knowledge of software development best practices
Source Code Control, Testing (TDD/BDD), Documentation, etc.
2-5 years’ experience in DevOps role
Experience with Scrum or Agile Methodology
Be available for a rotating on call schedule.
