Alluvion Staffing is seeking an IT Security Engineer for a permanent position with a client located in Franklin TN. 

Job Summary
This position is responsible for recommending, designing, implementing, and operationally supporting Information Security solutions; such as firewalls, data loss prevention, anti-virus, patching, proxy servers, identity and access management solutions, multi-factor authentication, cloud, remote access, and Security Information & Event Management "SIEM” implementations. Senior IT Security Engineers are responsible for a broad range of tasks including administration, installation and configuration of information security tools and devices, security information and event management. The individual in this position interacts closely with product vendors and service providers, with personnel from various IT departments including the application development, operations and network, and privacy teams. Senior Systems Engineers are assigned to the most complex systems, projects and initiatives. Senior IT Security Engineer's lead efforts, oversee work results, providing formal training and serve as a technical resource for other IT Security Engineers and IT Security Specialists. Senior IT Security Engineer implements policy as well as various types of software

Minimum Job Requirements
  • 8 or more years of work experience in IT Security
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CISSP
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response and identity and access management
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts
  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems, software, protocols and standards including TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
  • Experience developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems and security applications, as well as a working knowledge of basic network protocols and tools
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness
  • Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences including the ability to build long term relationships with customers
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors and IT-business personnel
  • Strong customer focus with ability to manage customer expectations and experience and build long-term relationships
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
Preferred Criteria
  • Relevant Information Security certifications, CRISC, CISM, CCSP
  • Experience with configuring Firewalls, IPS, Multi-Factor Authentication, Proxies, MDM, Anti-Virus, DLP, and other Information Security Tools.
