 Alluvion is currently hiring for a Payroll Associate for a direct hire opportunity located in Jacksonville, FL.
  • Ideal candidate will be able to process all payroll in house, handling all garnishments, taxes, W'2s, 9-40's etc
  • Growth potential to Supervisor will be immediatly available
 
Primary Purpose Of Position:
 Responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of payroll. Must provide the highest level of customer service to our employees by answering questions and resolving payroll-related issues in a timely manner. This position is accountable for compiling payroll data; keying payroll information (including benefit time submitted); processing weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll cycles; checking weekly store reports; sending direct deposit files; reporting taxes; and following-up on missing reports, as well as, preparing reports for management.
 
 Essential Functions:
  • Compile payroll data gathered from stores and all other outlying locations and check for  accuracy
  • Key payroll information from remote locations (including all benefit time submitted) manually and through self-service
  • Key new hire information and all personnel transactions not submitted through self-service (including all warnings)
  • Contact various departments,store managers or supervisors for any payroll time issues
  • Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payroll cycles
  • Prepare post-cycle reports; deposit payroll taxes; close general ledger
  • Complete VOE and pay verification forms
  • Complete child support and garnishment termination notification forms
  • Organize and scan all documents associated with employees records
  • Prepare remote location mailings
  • Check and maintain weekly store time reports; follow up on missing reports and prepare reports for management
 
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
  • 10-Key by touch required
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
  • AS400 experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Organize procedures in a logical/methodical manner
  • Good time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Work well in a team environment, as well as, independently
  • Self motivated
