Alluvion Staffing is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager (W2 only) for a contract to hire role with a premiere client in Jacksonville, FL.
Senior Project Manager -12 +month  contract to hire
The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams through enterprise application development, infrastructure, change management projects. Strong communication skills and business acumen needed for this project. Must be able to balance multiple projects simultaneously and play a key role in a highly visible project for organization that involves multiple dependencies.  
Prefers formal PMP Training, as well as diverse project leadership in an enterprise environment (both in Agile and Waterfall ).  This is a highly visible project with changing deadlines and priorities. The Senior PM must be a DRIVER who can successfully keep teams focused and navigate teams through changing deadlines and priorities as needed.  Strong sense of urgency, passion for project management and effective stakeholder negotiator. Take charge personality and superb leadership skills are absolutely a must. Confident yet diplomatic communication is critical for this role as you will be interfacing with executives, division managers, business teams, technical teams and support teams.
This Senior Project Manager will provide project leadership, guidance and direction through a mission critical application development project. The Senior PM will support an Enterprise Business/ PMO re-alignment, which will impact every aspect of technology and business, including: portals, billing, finance, claims, provider relations and business operations etc.

The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for implementing the solution and maximizing the technology’s effectiveness. Activities will include:
  • Strategic planning: define objectives and target dates, establishing the blue print and road-mapping
  • Assess people, processes and systems/technology- current state and future state
  • Build pert charts with objectives and target dates
  • Design and develop the detailed conversion project plan
  • Change management strategy
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Regular in depth review of project status
  • Executive Reporting
  • Deliverable and deadline management
  • Oversee vendor software development and testing
  • Ongoing oversight of the conversion project
  • Monitor deliverables: software, hardware, supplies and supplementary equipment
  • Assist in user documentation approval
  • Supervise user training
  • Manage the live transfer
  • Provide post implementation follow up and improvement
  • 8+ years of it project management experience in an enterprise environment
  • Full SDLC Project Management experience required
  • Agile and Waterfall experience
  • EXPERIENCE with BUSINESS/PMO re-alignments.
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • PMP certification preferred or ACP-Agile Certified Practitioner preferred
  • Experience building out documentation and processes for enterprise level projects
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Knowledge of the industry project management best practices (i.e., Project Management Body of Knowledge - PMBOK)
  • Familiarity with various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles (e.g., traditional waterfall methodology phases of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation) and the correct project application
  • Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry (e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma)
